Our favourite matching outfit on. Hate down, scarves around, gloves pulled up and high heel boots shove in. Long hairs were gorgeously let down to our backs.
It was a silent dark night, but the soft white snow kept falling. Every step we took was leading to a place, a place that belong to us.
If anyone paid any attention and bothered to look up and around, they would notice beautiful color lights coming from the very top.
Up we climb, taking one step at a time, there was no need to rush. One after another followed closely behind.
“Here we are” I’ll smile.
We’ll all smile.
Short grasses everywhere below our feet, tall trees everywhere beside us.
Decorations hanging from trunk to trunk. They were all shone brightly with different colors.
We’ll sigh, satisfied.
Our work was worth it.
Closing my eyes, lifting my head up and reaching my hands up to touch and feel the snow falling.
We all sat at the edge of the cliff, on the fresh soft fallen snow, letting our feet dangle freely in the cool breeze, we could see houses, people throwing parties, families in and out of restaurants. The street was lighted up all the way.
A huge, tall white coniferous tree was placed in the middle of the circle. Hotels surrounding half of he circle. It was too beautiful for your eyes to be distracted.

“Merry Christmas”. It was a whisper.

'Journey to the past'

Most of us were strangers, starting out on a journey. Seeing our form-Chinese teacher; Mdm Hong, 'freaked' us out at first. Getting to know her better as days went by, most of us accepted her. But not the popular ones, who still couldn't believe that she was our form teacher espicially. Her Chinese lessons were boring to some, that one of my classmates started doing whatever she wanted, like sleeping or reading or some craft work; Trisha.

Science teacher was a killer. Hearing those discouraging words to us and scoldings almost everyday made us felt angry and sad and maybe also hopeless. But did it made us change? Maybe a few...

Male for English; Mr Chan. Shocked and whispers among each other when he steped in, walked straight to the teachers' desk and turned to face us on his first lesson, someday after mid-year. He was one of the teachers who did not look down on us. He made us laughed and sometimes organised games during lessons, and not to forget, after End Of Year exams, he promised to show us his wedding photo after much pleading from us. His wife's very pretty.

We were always eger for English lesson to start. It was great fun, espicially he hardly ever got angry and sometimes we even 'argued' with him until he was speechless!

But sadly, there was one time when we were all so rowdy that he couln't handle us no more that he gave up. That was it for that day. He hadn't taught us much and he grabbed his belongings and stomped out of the class. The class was silent. No one moved. I don't remember what happened next, whether anyone tried to stop him, but I think some did. It was our second time that day, that another teacher walked out on us.

The first was Ms Croy, a relief Literature teacher. She was really nice too. Like Mr Chan; she hardly ever got angry. But the big difference was that her lessons were a boredom to everyone!

So anyway, much later on, after Ms Croy left, an old lady was replaced. And then again, after that old lady left, another slightly old lady was replaced. But this time, this old lady; Ms Goh, was not 'going away'. She was really really, really a boredom! She was like so kind that when everyone got bored of her teaching and started doing their own things, she doesn't seemed to care at all. Maybe one or two were listening to her 'old grandmother boring story'! She was kind of blur too and just a tiny little bit of funny-ness. And that's why, those who do not like to study and do their homework, loves Literature lesson a lot!
The rest of our subject teachers were okay; nothing really intersting about them.

Mid Year results... more than half the class would have been down-graded if it was End Of Year. Really scary.

It was spread to all the teachers that my class was the worst in the level. Worst in what way? Everything. From our behaviours to our studies. Advices from teachers also, who were not teaching us. Advices from the class committees. They did not seem to help at all. Despite the strife and storms ahead, we managed to go through them together.

Serious faces were seen more as End Of Year exams were approaching. Guess that means more passes that time...Yup, sure it did! And our class had a lot of improvements, except for three who didn't managed to make it. It was really sad. We didn't want anyone to leave. It wouldn't be a full class. If only there was a second chance...

Retreat was a killer of sadness. Tears and sobs flooded the room towards the end. My classmates, my friends, were the ones who started and ended 'them'. I looked at my classmates whose tears kept flowing for a long time. Stopped, but continued shortly. Their problems must have been heaving in their hearts.
Maybe I couldn't understand what their problems were, but the heaviness and sadness, maybe I could, just a little. I felt sorry for them. I wanted to help, but had no idea how to.

My class, was the one who got all the attention from the others. It all came from us. And I guess, that day, that moment, was how we bonded.

We were really fortunate for having such a form teacher like Mdm Hong. I'm not sure if everyone in class realised it, but she is like the best teacher in school.

And that's what makes my class of 40 students and Mdm Hong, a complete

Secondary 1E8 '2008 class!

Don't believe in failure. Because simply by saying you've failed, you've admitted you attempted.
And anyone who attempts is not a failure.
Those who truly fail in the eyes are the ones who never try at all.
The ones who sit on the couch and whine and moan and wait for the world to change for them.

If you try anything, if you try to improve yourself, or to love, or to make the world a better place,
you have already achieved something wonderful, before you even begin.
Forget failure.
If things don't work out the way you want, hold your head up high and be proud
And try again.
And again.
And again...

Never give up finding the only key you've always been looking for in your life,
to the one lock.
Because, because you'll find it someday...
